365 Collages | Week 3 | Butterfly Collage

I made seven random collages, and the theme didn’t show itself until I was almost done. But that’s okay too for me. You don’t need to know the end result to start, right? I don’t even think each week needs to be assigned a specific theme. I like random, as you might know.

It's about Butterfly Collage: 365 Collages in 2018 Week 3 by iHanna #365somethings2018 #butterfly #art

I like letting my intuition lead the way, not thinking too much about where I’m going with my art. I find thinking sometimes is my biggest hinder…

What am I going to do with it all

I used to think: “What am I going to do with all these collages when I’m done?” But these days I never go there. It’s a question of fear of the future. A question that only stops me in my tracks. It’s one of those question all creatives should avoid, especially when you’re starting out.

Both the question and the answer will hinder your progress!

The Greatest Danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that is too low and we reach it... Michelangelo #quote #studioihanna #365somethings2018

I think everyone who signed up to create 365 somethings this year is aiming very high. If you don’t reach all the way the effort is worth a lot, so let’s trudge on.  To keep up is definitely a challenge. I got a cold this week and I’m not feeling very creative at all, that’s why this post is a bit late. But let’s look at some collages.

I’m pretty sure you can guess the theme I’m thinking about…

The Butterfly Collage Photos

I got myself a new laser printer last year. I love that thing, but the scanner is crappy. That’s why I’m trying to photograph my collages instead of scanning them, but this week I must’ve been tired. They’re all a bit crocked and some has a horrible glare that makes it hard to see the images they depict. Crap.

I might go back to redo these photos, we’ll see.

I also decided to not include a white background anymore. I thought it looked nice when I started, but I’d rather “zoom in” and show the art bigger and as square as they are. What do you think, which is better?

  2. I love your Butterfly Mystique collage. I liked it because it looks like pure and mad with different colors this does not have so much design but it looks simply amazing too me. I also love to make it.
