Just some Painted Index Cards
Time to leave now, get out of this room, go somewhere, anywhere; sharpen this feeling of happiness and freedom, stretch your limbs, fill your eyes, be awake, wider awake, vividly awake in every sense and every pore.
Stefan Zweig
Posting two painted index cards, made this summer while trying out a kid watercolour set. Loved the colours but it was boring to paint with. I’m not sure if that was because of the not very porous surface of the index cards or the paint itself.
Today is Lucia, and this morning on the train I read two beautiful posts about the celebration, one by Silvia in Italy and one by Pam in the US, both linking to previous Lucia posts on this blog (for example the baking and making of lussebullar).
wishing you light in the darkness!

Hanna, I agree. With watercolors I want an absorbent surface and index cards just aren’t the right paper for them. It’s like work to paint them. Still, I like the playfulness of your index cards! But I do love acrylics on index cards.
They may not have been the right surface for the watercolours but they sure are pretty! Hope you had a nice Lucia.
Love the color pop this morning! The 2nd card really grabbed my attention- love the splatters and the color runs!
Hi Hanna…you are a bright light…I love these little watercolors. I also adore the black and white collage you did a few post below…I may have to try that.
Happy Holidays!
