Knitting lesson, a lesson of Love

Surfing around I found this great painting by Jean-Francois Millet (1814-1875), called Knitting lesson.

It illustrates quite well how I felt last week and this weekend when my mother visited for a couple of days. Loved by someone so creative and inspiring is great. She has years and years of knowledge that I now can take part of, since I became interested in the word of yarn och fabric this year.

I thought it amazing that I too could inspire her! My mother visits me for love and knitting.

She looked through my books about quilting and knitting, followed me to my favorite flea markets, surfed the web for great inspiration and bargains. Helped me alter a knitting pattern and showed me how to make button holes with my sewing machine. She is great! And we had some great days together. Thank’s mum!
