Found a Decoupage Magazine
I will post some photos from my trip to France (and Heidelberg!) later on in my blog, but for now I’ve just scanned this magazine and some spreads from it.
I got this magazine when I was in France, in a little magazine shop out in the country. It felt like winning the lottery. Who would’ve thought my raids to the magazine shelf would pay off so good?
Don’t ask why I did go there all the time, I don’t speak or read French at all. But… this one is pictures only, and on thin paper to use when you do decoupage – you know the art of gluing thin paper to things? You can use napkins or tissue paper, or printed papers like these that are so thin that they’re hard to handle. But yummy!
The magazine has lots of boring pages with dogs, fruits and grayish angels, but some of the images of old labels are really to my fancy, so I’m sharing them with you…
Decoupage or Découpage is the art of decorating an object by gluing colored paper cutouts onto it in combination with special paint effects, gold leaf and other decorative elements. Commonly, an object like a small box or an item of furniture is covered by cutouts from magazines or from purpose-manufactured papers. [via wiki]
Printable Decoupage images
I’ve scanned some of my favorite pages (see below) and I’m sharing these in larger formats, there are some scans of roses, angels and butterflies die scraps coming to the blog soon, if anyone is interested to be able to print them for personal use?
Click on the image to download the high res page. Then print for personal use in your own projects. Some of the decoupage images are scanned crocked, sorry about that, but I can’t be bothered to do it again.
Take it or leave it my dears.
