Bits and pieces

In the mail

I’ve had a great week! I love all the nice comments I get in the blog, and the school start couldn’t have been better: friendly people, great environment and the coming autumn seams to be exiting and filled with new challenges! And today when I came home, very tired, a big envelope from a web friend was waiting for me! She wrote:

I’ve been doing some Spring cleaning and decided to let some things go out of my life to make room for the “new”! I’ve been collecting these bits and pieces for years, but I have a feeling they will serve you better! I hope you find at least some of it useful. Don’t let it sit in a drawer like I did for years and years! Happy collaging and crafting!

Wow, this is so nice! Thank you thank you thank you Theresa, you’ve made my day! I’m just so happy you didn’t throw all this in the paper bin! There are some real treasures in here! And it will get used, I promise!

Pretty stuff From Snow bear
Imagine! It’s a Beatrix Potter book from 1907, falling apart but a magical beauie! It’s stamps, stickers, a big collection of art postcards and pictures with lots of great quotes and pictures from a Mary Engelbrekt’s table calendar. And my absolute favorite: old wrinkled coupons and tickets! A treasure in collage coherence!

And the giver is Theresa Smythe, of the blog Rock-Paper-Scissors. Thank you Theresa, my thoughts are with you right now in your loss. Please take care of your self, stay with friends and family – and know that I care and think about you!

  1. Felicia is the sweetest thing! And what a lucky girl you are to get such a nice surprise in the mail. I am just heartbroken for Theresa and her family. Why must these things happen to good people or anyone for that matter?

  2. My heart goes out to Theresa! So sad! And look what great treasures she sent you! An old Beatrix Potter Book!
