Making tiny gifts

The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart.
Helen Keller

More small creatures today! I have a few kids inside my heart all the time, but they vary as some grow up and others I don’t see any more. These are in my heart right now.

Sheep I made
1-2-3 sheep that I made.

More hand sewing: three little sheep in white felt with cute details (forgot to take a pic of the tails). A lot of sewing for such small creatures – but they all turned out the way I wanted them too, and Rickard will have something to view before he falls asleep.

He might even count them, soon anyway.

Rickard, 5 veckor
Rickard, 5 weeks old.

Rickard is the son of my friend Inger and her husband. The three of them visited for fika (coffee) this week, and I snapped lots of photos of course. They are such a cute family, and Rickard is adorable. He found his way to my heart very fast.

My brother
My brother, 15 years old.

My little brother Mikael is so tall and broad shouldered now, a bit more grown up each time I see him. He spends a lot of time at the computer still, but I wake him up about lunch time and then he looks just like a kid again. Cozy and nice. I remember when he was just as small as Rickard, a long long time ago…

Nyvaken
Jennifer, 8,5 months old.

My wee cousin

I’ve spent some time with my cousin Jennifer this week too. She has the cutest cheeks, a big smile and kind of sings when she is eating, sounding “mmmhoommm” like it is the best meal she ever had.

These are some of the people that makes my heart sing this summer.

  1. I have recently discovered your blog and it always lifts my heart. It’s fresh and it’s real. I thank you

  2. Oh, such beautiful babies! And I love the sheep, too.

My brother is 19 but sometimes he still looks like the little boy he was, too. He has a very bashful smile.
