The Garden in October (and some tea)
Posting more photos from the atumny garden today, hope that’s okay with you? Notice the bokeh in the photo:
Today I started to listen to a new audio book (in Swedish) and I want to continue listening right now. I just poored myself a cup of herbal tea and will soon be laying on my bed, sewing a crochet project together… Mmm! So not much time to write right now.
The book is called The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. It’s an extremly strong story that from the first words touched me, and it feels totally like the right book today. It’s about a little guy growing up to be an author and even though his writing is secondary in the beginning (and his friendship and betrayal of a friend is in focus) I’m reminded how much I love to read about other creative people.
I love love love reading a good novel. So that’s what I’m doing with part of my week. I’ve already finished Once Upon a Day by Lisa Tucker. It’s a magic read too, you should definitely read it! I don’t know about Houssini yet, but Lisa could definitely become a favorite author.
Anyway, here are some photos from the garden in October:
And more photos from my parents beautiful garden:
Orange, orange, orange everywhere….
I don’t celebrate Halloween because we don’t in Sweden. But I did fall in love with Dia Los Muertos a few years ago. I’m thinking about doing something at least this year… Maybe as a participation at the Dia de los Muertos in Bloglandia?
What about you, will you dance for the dead or make a sugar skull this year?

lovely photos! I will be working on Halloween, but my son is “too old” for trick or treating, so I won’t miss too much-when I get home I hope to get him to watch a good Halloween movie on tv with me(and I will bring some candy for us to pig out on too:) that is one of my fave things anymore, getting him to just come out and watch a movie with me(when I CAN get him out of his room) I hope whatever you decide to do that you have a great time!!

usually, i find the movie
is always such a disappointment
if you have read the book,

no idea what the yellow flower is called (it’s on a bush), but the berries are said to be edible! I haven’t tried.
