Week in the Life: Fabric store browsing
Fabric store browsing – with camera in hand for the photo documentation project Week in the Life.
Thin airy cotton fabric. Polka dots that feels like spring.
All of these photos are quick snap shots from Monday. They are the only ones I’ve had the time to look through properly, except the commute photos I’ve already posted. These photos are quick and spontanious, but looking at them makes me want to go create at once. I hope they have the same effect on you.
Fabric browsing is dangerously enjoyable.
Sturdy quilting cotton fabric with polka dots and flowers.
I see a black and white skirt, and me dancing around in it.
Polka dot and gingham patterned ribbons.
Every colour you can imagine. Just pick one.
Tricot fabric for children’s cloths…
…or me? I really want a pink shirt with mushrooms!
And orange hippos. Yes please.
Silk with golden embroidery. Costly but oh so pretty.
My picks of the day are embroidery materials. I have ideas. Now all I need is time.
I decided on, not surprisingly, some pink linnen too. I will try to embroider on it soon.
Bag o’ joy! I went home with happiness in a bag. And photos that makes me happy too.
Talk about artist date, huh?
PS: Don’t forget I’m celebrating 8 years of blogging this week.

The photos of these fabrics are absolutely luscious! I don’t use a lot of fabric in the things I do, but I am always so drawn to it. Ribbons, as well. I love those measuring tape ribbons…how fun! I can’t wait to see the results of your artist date.
…then I think you should get a pink shirt with mushrooms :)
(I´ve passed 40 and love my pink t-shirt with little My)
I don’t have a problem with wearing pink + mushrooms, just with making the sweater… I can, but I don’t have the time for everything I want to do! Gaah, where can I buy more time?
congrats on your 8 years. i would agree about fabric store shopping, dangerously enjoyable. i’ve never seen the ribbon that looks like a tape measure. i can think of all kinds of uses.
I don’t go to fabric stores anymore . It’s too painfull ; (
