Self Love Sunday

There is no greater gift you can give or receive than to honor your calling. It’s why you were born. And how you become most truly alive.

Last weekend was fabulous, filled with champagne and paint. So this weekend, I decided to embrace my crafty side! I listened to the Quilting Podcast for the first time, and got some inspiration while sitting by my sewing machine, sewing papers together. I’ll show you more of those soon, because it’s all hearts around here right now.

It is Sunday and I am declaring Sundays Self Love Day from now on. You know, no computer work, no worries, no silly thinking of things you should do. Simply being in the moment and playing with different creative projects. Maybe reading a novel or taking a photo walk – but most of all: creating something! Because that is self love to me.

Yesterday I found, via Instagram of all places, a new to me youtube channel about doodling. I’ve watched several already, my favorite so far is How to Doodle: some tips:

I think it’s awesome, don’t you? I just had to share it with you! If you haven’t already, go check out Peter Draws and subscribe to his youtube channel. He has got a ton of doodle videos that I’m planning to watch in the near future. And then I will doodle some!

I’ve got so many posts in queue that I need to finish and post, so expect new awesome posts featuring my creative adventures coming up soon. But for today, just some doodle ideas by Peter, and the above Inspiration Mosaic with images from flickr, of things that inspire me that other’s have posted (view big here). I hope you’re inspired too!

Wishing you Love, Creativity and a Happy February!
