In almost all of the art journal peeks that I share here you’ll see close-up photos. Sure, I like to include the whole page or spread, but also several close-ups of the details.
I just feel compelled to photograph the details that I adore so much. Often lots of them.
With mixed media, layers, collage and paint splatter you sometimes have to come close and stroke the page to enjoy it. Photographing the finished page is also part of my art practice.
Photographing my artwork is like making it artful a second time, but without cutting it up. I love it, and I hope you do too.
I am sharing lots of detail from one single spread today… Enjoy!
Love the details, but not really loving the finished page, especially not the painted lady with the crazy flower hat, it’s over worked but then I tired of fixing it and just stopped. I moved on to the next page.
But here it is anyway:
