Inspirational Quotes – Free Printable for your Notebook

I made a printable with inspirational quotes that is free to download and use in your own notebook. It consists of three (3) PDF-pages filled with different quotes that you can use in your notebook, sketchbook, bullet journal, calendar or personal diary!

Because we can all need a pick-me-up of a thought-provoking quote at times, right?

As humans we sometimes need empowerment, encouragement and inspiration from sources outside ourselves to cope with everyday life.

Personally I need to feel that the things I want to accomplish are not beyond my reach, that the impossible obstacles that seam to tower over me are not there for ever.

In my day of need, I often find solace and grace in great books and beyond the books, in the quotes that comes from great books. So I’m collecting them in different ways…

Inspirational quotes are the little snippets of wisdom, said or written, by people who probably don’t have it all figured out either, but at least had the wit about them to say something smart or get it noted. I feel very thankful for all these little quotes floating around, helping me along and making me move, think or LOL at times.

Before the internet I bought books filled with aphorisms from different countries, last words from famous people, quotes from women, life wisdom and collections of sayings. One of my current favorites is the Happiness A – Z, that is divided into different sections so that you can look up what you need.

The only problem with books filled with quotes is that they are in there and not in your regular life, so they’re easy to forget when times get though. Plus all of them are meaningful to the editor, but not always to you. If you start your own collection of quotes, then you will be sure that they are relevant for your own life, right now. I suggest getting a Pinterest board (mine is called Word!) for your favorite quotes, or writing them down in a little journal (my mini quote journal is here).

Get the Inspirational Quotes into your own life

To move some of these quotes from the books and screen and into my everyday life, I created a PDF with some of my favorite quotes formatted into colorful strips that fits perfect in a regular notebook (like the Leuchtturm1917 or the Moleskine). I think these are all worth reading more than once.

I’m using mine in my diary, gluing a few into it so that when I get to a page with a quote I find “a random quote” that often feels like it was specifically chosen for that day. I love serendipity like that, and isn’t it how it often is? You see something and relate to it from where you are today, right now.

I made these quotes fill a long and narrow box, perfect as embellishments at the top or bottom of your notebook page. This form will give you plenty of room for your own creativity – whether it is drawing, doodling, cut and paste, painting or writing on the pages of your notebook. I think you could even use these quotes as prompts or jumping of points for what you will write about.

I usually write the pages of my diary full of tiny letters in black ink (I love journaling with black ink), so the backgrounds behind each quote will create a lovely and colorful note in my diary.

I use a glue stick to adhere the quotes, but of course you can also print them on sticker paper. Cut them out when you need them, or cut all of them out and store them in the back-pocket of your notebook.
