Humorous Postcard: The Crazy Hat Party

I love a good pun, but making a Humorous Postcard is not as easy as I thought when I first started out. I thought I could google up some humor and be done with it… But the funny thing about this postcard (to me at least) is the making of it. I had fun trying out different options when putting it together. But how do you show that in the card?

Ah well, I made a funny video about how hard it can be (on some days) to decide what to wear…

I’m letting this guy, who is actually Michel de Montaigne, try out different hats as I am designing my postcard. Not sure he would approve, but I think he had humor…

I’m sure I’ll make a better stop motion video next time, by planning it out a bit better, but let’s just roll with what we have here. It’s just for fun, so I’m trying not to take all the mistakes to serious. I’m new at this thing, I’m learning about video every day. You will note that everything moves around a lot, and the light changes too much.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy giving it a quick glance…

Hat of for you for taking the time to watch this.

It’s a first try at stop motion animation with paper. It’s not as easy at it looks when the pro:s are at it, but this will have to be fine for now. I will soon be ready to send my postcards in the swap I host.

Not sure the end result will be a very humorous postcard, but I did my best (plus I’m adding a text to this one to be revealed later).

BTW: Do you think I made the right choice about his hat? This is one of my favorites (but too large for a postcard so I’m saving it for an art journal page):
