365 Collages | Week 40 | Right Here, Right Now

Do you keep track of what week it is? Right now it’s week 40, in case you didn’t know or needed a reminder. That means I’m finally caught up with my collages. We’re right here right now. Yay!

I’ve been behind almost this entire year (or at least it feels like it) because I’ve had two really bad colds. They lasted almost three weeks each, and when you keep falling behind with a 365-project, you get really out of order with everything. But right now, in this moment, I’m caught up with making square collages one for each day of this year! It is an amazing feeling to on the last quarter of the year finally be able to say that.

Creating 365 collages is A LOT OF WORK I tell you - all these collages made by me (Copyright Hanna Andersson) #365somethings

Doing a 365 project can be as hard or as easy as you want it to. It can be a little doodle in a notebook that is always open on your desk, or a post-it-drawing you snap and share on instagram… But doing 365 collages where you wish that each one is good enough to frame is a lot of work!

That said I’m not trying to discourage anybody from doing their own challenge, no matter if it’s a month long, 100 days or even aiming to make it a year long. It is a powerful exercise that will give you a lot of satisfaction, practice and stronger backbone. With three months left of this year it’s time to start consider your interests for 2019… I’m sure there will be lots of new people doing #365somethings2018 then!?

I still love my own collage project, and my pile of collages. Those solitary, happy moments strewn through they year of making is giving me meaning to an otherwise strange existence… And the creative moments on repeat might even lead you to some flow, that lovely flow…

Anyway, here’s this weeks new collages that I hope you like. As always, feel free to leave me a comment below about your own project or choosing one favorite from these and telling me why you like it! Thanks.

If you hover over each collage you’ll see the title and what number it has. These are number 273 to 279 of 365, in week 40 of 52. Only three months left of this year. Wow, how did that happened?

I scanned and uploaded these photos before remembering that the neon dot stickers I used won’t show up when I use my scanner. Here’s a photo of the collages with dots, so you can see the difference photos vs. scans above:

Much better! I’m still a fan of neon colors and of course polka dots

  1. High five Hanna!!! Congratulations on hitting week FORTY!! that is amazing!! good for you :-) I just started doing Inktober (first time) keeping it very simple, made a little journal to use, and decided to use stamps and Stazon black ink pad, pens/markers, and some fountain pens to add doodles, borders, sometimes a quote to each stamped image. I am inspired by you and your 365 Collages!!

I pick #277 “Send some Happy Mail” as my favorite in this bunch. That little bird is adorable …… I think you should look at that as a ‘secret message’…… wink/wink

Not only have you made a collage every day, but you also have shared them! double points for that!! tfs ;-)

Thank you for being such an inspiration and making a 365 project seem doable! Hard to believe there’s only 12 weeks left to 2018. Look forward to seeing the rest of your 365 collages, and can’t wait to learn more about your Randomousity Journals! Thank you for creating such a beautiful corner of the internet for us to come visit!

    • Oh no, don’t say it’s only 12 weeks left, let’s not count those… that made me a little stressed, haha. Thanks for cheering me on. Hope you got my e-mail too?

  6. Congrats on catching up and being up to date… I have that in my Chronicles (week) journal sometimes and I get a bit stressed when I am not ‘in the right week’… I do love the ’10 times bigger’ collage the best for it’s bold colors. Another sunny and rather warm day here in the Netherlands, I hope you have a beautiful Autumn weekend too!
