Opening up for Happy Mail
In my blog post On the Receiving End I showd a few of the postcards I got in the DIY postcard swap
last year (you can still join today – don’t miss out!). Here are the rest from that lovely pile of postcards that I received:
DIY Postcard created by Julia, who sent her postcard out in an equally beautifully decorated envelope. I even got a “bonus postcards”, which I find hilarious:
DIY Postcard created by Jenny.
A little paint, mark making and a cute image of a few flowers or a butterfly… A postcard can be as elaborate or as easy as you choose to make it!
DIY Postcard created by Irene, who lives as far away from me as Botswana!
And that was all of them I think. Which one is your favorite?
Resources for creative card makers
– Download the SWAP TRACKER – download, print and fill out your personal postcard swap tracker, so that you will be more organized and keep track of your process.
– Check the Frequently Asked Questions – if you have a question about postcards that you’re sending or recieving in the swap know that a lot of questions have already been answered there.
– Follow me on Pinterest – I share inspiration to my boards almost daily – right now a lot to the DIY Postcard Inspiration Board on Pinterest – if you want to see some wonderful mail art go there.
– Subscribe to YouTube – I’m getting into video as you all probably know already, and have shared my postcard process there in the past as well as my latest collage art journal – make sure you’re subscribed to be notified when I post next!
As always I will share the postcards I get on my Facebook page Studio iHanna as they come in this year too.
Oh and again: if you haven’t joined already, it will be super duper fun. Let’s make and send more postcards world wide!
Join the swap!
What kind of art are you working on right now? I’m making postcards of course.
