Wee Art Books
At the end of the month I release a new batch of journals in my shop, and my previous batch was number one that was announced to the subscribers of my Newsletter, because they always get first dibs. If you want to be the first to know when the next batch of yummy journals comes out I suggest you subscribe to the iHanna Newsletter.
In there were some very small art books that I named Wee Books – for Creative Adventures once upon a time. I made beaded dangles for each of them and cute labels and everything.
They’ve just been sitting in a box for way too long, so it was time I brought them out into the light. So let’s take a look at them together. I don’t remember how many I made, because form the initial pile I think I sent a few out as happy mail, and I am keeping two for myself. But if you want to take a look at them here’s the video showing all the wee books, their pages and some extra journal ideas that might inspire you to make your own wee books!
Video Journal Chat a & journal release 2
I love chatting about junk journals, so let’s get chattin’! :-)
I decided to keep two of them to work in myself, and to list the rest of them in the shop and announce it to my Newsletter as I did with the previous journal release.
Less talking and a really quick flip-through of all of theses junk journals are here:
There are some left for sale still, but only a few – check the shop if you’re interested.
I think they’re so cute!
The Wee Books are just 9 x 11,5 cm (that’s about 3.5 x 4.5 inches) and each have twenty pages, made from colored paper, magazine pages, envelopes, old book pages, wall-papers and almost all spreads are “started” in some way with a collage by me. Later this year I’d like to make even smaller volumes… how small could you go and still be useful or at least usable you think?
Here are a couple of the wee spreads:
Some of these have been sold, thank you guys. Also, I sometimes get lovely notes from customers these days, like this tweet:
It can still take a while for mail to arrive and there’s not much we can do about that, but I feel grateful every time when it works. It shouldn’t take months, but I just saw on Instagram that a postcard from the DIY Postcard Swap that I host traveled from Australia to Norway and just arrived the other day. It took 2 months for it to arrive!
I am also grateful that you want to buy from a tiny biz like me. You do not know just how much it means, but I feel so grateful every time.
Check out Studio iHanna Shop for digital goods and a closer look at Wee book 3, Wee book 4 and the blank notebook that I named Wee Purple Book, the rest have already been shipped and received.
Have a creative day my friends!

Your Wee Art Books turned out so cute! Especially enjoying the tiny beads you added!
I am eagerly awaiting winter to start working on my December Journal I bought from you this past Christmastime! I’ve not been a glue-book or collage girl very much before, so this will be a newer experience for me. I am so excited to work on the pages you started and capture some of my love of all things Christmas inside it’s covers!
Thanks Arielle. Hopefully next Christmas we will get to celebrate a little bit more “normal” than last year in the year of the pandemic.
