Video | Summer in my Art Journal
Summer journaling is no different than any other kind of journaling you do, except, it happens in summer. In my case, mostly outside on the balcony or at least with the balcony door wide open while I fill my one and only Summer Journal. I don’t have a style or plan when I open up a page, just a longing to play with colors usually. Or to tell a story, if I’m writing.
In any case, I recorded some process videos of me working in my current summery journal and this week I’ve been sharing them on YouTube. Three videos no less, how about that?
I embedded them all below for your viewing pleasure. :)
Enjoy!
Video 1: A few fun Art Journaling ideas
Most of the clips from this video was not really meant for YouTube, but was made for my One second a day-project (that is still going strong), but I thought it would be fun to share some short bits of my process in one video. I hope you? liked the format? In any case, I enjoyed compiling it and seeing how my journaling habits was strong in June.
Then I decided to do a sit-down and film myself making a page, and it turned out to be the rainbow page…
Video 2: Acrylic paint and rainbows
I mention the Golden fluid acrylic paints, that I blogged about here, and that has beautiful colors. If I could afford the brand and find it more easily here in Sweden, I’d love to try their other consistences, like the heavy body acrylics by them because as I said, the colors are SO yummy. But alas, new paint is not in my budget right now unfortunately.
But… I did dive into a thrifted Hello Kitty Magazine (although mine is printed in Swedish) that I think originates from the UK. I’ve had for a while and filmed myself “harvesting it”, because hey, who doesn’t looove Hello Kitty?
Video 3: A Collage kind of Day
Three videos in one week makes me feel like a real YouTuber BOSS. Although, it probably won’t happen again anytime soon. Now, if only my subscriber numbers would show the same dedication and love… LOL
As a good blogger, I am also including some photos from the Summer Journal:
More about the embroidered cover of this journal here and then, if you’re looking for an art journal for yourself, please consider taking a look in my shop – chock full of yummy, handmade journals right now.

Thank you for another inspiring video!
Loved your videos, Hanna! I especially enjoyed the use of Cinderella (as a brunette! My favorite Cinderella, though I may be a bit biased.) and Hello Kitty! Thanks for continuing to inspire us to create pretty things!
(By the way, did you know commenting is turned off on your recent videos? It’s okay if you chose that, but wanted to make sure it was an intentional decision.)
Hope you’re having a happy summer! Enjoy that sunshine!
