How to create Washi Tape Endpapers
I saw this idea of creating a washi tape dashboard (or washi tape end-papers as the first and last page of any book is called) on several videos on YouTube and thought I’d give the idea a try!
The Stalogy notebook that I’ve been going on and on about, LOL, came with gray endpapers that a lot of people does not like. I find the gray endpapers quite stylish, but others have been decorating it or covering it up in different ways and of course I wanted to try that as well. Gray vs. colorful and colorful wins yet again in iHanna land – how strange…

Here’s how I created my Hello Kitty and pink washi tape end paper
It’s a super fun idea and I’m glad I gave it a try. I absolutely love how mine came out! And it’s also a washi tape stash-buster, right? And you get to display your favorite tapes at the front of a new notebook, where you can see it often, which is a win-win to me.
endpaper
noun 1. a leaf of paper at the beginning or end of a book, especially one fixed to the inside of the cover
Example: green morocco covers and marbled endpapers
All you need is your washi tape stash out and the kind of full sheet sticker paper that’s for home printing. You can also use those to print images or photos to create your own stickers that you cut out (very handy to have at home). Then keep your tongue straight in your mouth and start taping!
What other uses for these kind of washi tape papers can we come up with?
I also created a washi tape dashboard or decorative page inside the actual journal, just because I couldn’t stop taping once I got started:

For the love of Washi
By the way, I love washi tape just as much as most stationary nerds. Because of that I have several blog posts tagged washi tape around here. To start, I love creating Evidence pages of new tape for example. Another way I’ve used washi tape is by sharing it and making washi tape samplers (a favorite) or the time when I covered a mini tin in tape. It turned out so cute!
What’s your favorite washi tape idea? Will you be making washi tape endpapers / pretty papers too? Let me know and stay creative friends.
