Happy Mail: Filling up the Inbox

I didn’t get around to posting all the beautiful handmade mixed media postcards that I got in the DIY Postcard Swap, so because it’s never too late in my world, I thought I’d do that today. I hope you find them as delightful as I did.

I am so grateful for all of you signing up for the swap, joining in to create these wonderful postcards and then also, sharing them with little ol’ me. It means a lot, so thank you so much everyone!

I hope looking at these close up and in detail will inspire you to create something today or during the weekend. Make a page in your journal, do some painting or create a few postcards yourself. I think that if you sign up to join the fall swap 2024 you will not regret it! It’s open now and we’d love to have you join us!

Here are a few postcards that I as the hostess of the DIY Postcard Swap have received and not shared anywhere yet:

Mixed media DIY Postcard created by Brooke of BB Henry Art, a fun blog about all kind of art projects that she creates.

“Laughter is the shortest distance between two people.” A fun stamped postcard made by Joanne in Michigan, US.

I have no idea how this postcard was created but the big figure in the middle is stamped and embossed, and even the backside has some stamped images and messages about laughter and joy.

Then there’s this rather elegant composition sent to me in Sweden from “sunny California”:

“We are here” – a postcard collage by Janice K.

And two bird postcards below, because birds will always captivate us, right?

First a digital collage with added on paper embellishments (which is okay in the swap because of the added collage elements):

And last but not least, a postcard that also came with a note telling the story of the postcard, which I appreciate:

Last but not least, a postcard from Sarah Gardner, author of the book Share the Joy (a beautiful book about mixed media sharable art)
